Yoshinori Niwa’s performance narrates the commercial landscape in Fitzrovia, Central London. Crawling on his elbows and knees, Niwa verbalises every piece of written text in public space over a phone. The call is received by speakers that project the sounds into the gallery space. Niwa becomes discernibly exhausted by the physical toll of the action itself and the over-exposure to text-based solicitations, adverts and articulations of rules that saturate public space.
