Paul Hobson is Director of Modern Art Oxford. With more that twenty years in the arts sector, Paul's previous positions include senior roles at the Contemporary Art Society, The Showroom, the Serpentine Gallery and Royal Academy of Arts.
On the occasion of Gordon Cheung's third exhibition at Edel Assanti, 'Unknown Knowns', their discussion focused on ideas raised in Cheung's recent work, including the shifting global power balance as China emerges as a 21st-century superpower, and visual culture's participation in dynamics of power that govern our understanding of the world and its history.
