Pawilon VI reflects on the supermarket as a gateway to petty crime. In a time of scarcity, the pawilon is filled with products, and it invites desire: a large red poster advertises cigarettes with 100% taste; black paths of medical tape lure the viewer in. Even with its hostile spikes, the pawilon is appealing. Two figures turn their backs to the viewer, a police officer arresting a young person. The offender will be led behind the sliding door in the center of the frame, into the maze of juvenile detention. Here, the surface has been cut and burnt, the wood set on fire with sulfur powder, and the flames stifled with the metal partition. If the wound is hidden, the heat has scarred every layer, from the corroded door to the smoke plumes trailing out of the exterior panel.
