The Story of Fixity, Le Havre, France

Le Portique presents The Story of Fixity , a work by artist Noémie Goudal, whose practice explores landscape, our relationship with nature, and the emotions evoked by encounters with the living world. Developed from a project originally conceived for an industrial site in London, as part of a collaboration with Artangel (which supports artistic creation in Great Britain and internationally), this immersive installation places a fundamental and constitutive element of landscapes at its heart: water. Like living tableaux, these constantly evolving landscapes unfold across four screens, creating new, colorful, and shifting reliefs whose contours vary and fluctuate. A natural symphony accompanied by a soundtrack invites us to explore new realms. An invitation to contemplation.
